This week is Red Ribbon Week at school! The girls were so excited, because today was PJ day! Now, what makes them the most excited about today is,.. I let them actually “sleep” in their PJ’s… then they just get up,.. brush their teeth & hair… and GO! They think.. this is SO cool! lol! It’s funny how.. kids and adults are soooo different when it comes to things like this. If you told me,.. I was going out for the day.. in my PJ’s.. without a morning shower .. & MAKEUP..I would Laugh in your face!
B-man had Camo day today, & he couldn’t have been happier. He loves Camo.. and would be fine.. if this were the schools uniform.
We get all EXCITED about dressing up.. and we use the word “Drug Free” so loosely in this society. I know the kids get excited about this week,.. but, how much as PARENTS .. are we telling our kids about drugs?
DID you KNOW?…….
Children of parents who talk to their teens regularly about drugs are 42% less likely to use drugs than those who don’t, yet only a quarter of teens report having these conversations.

Take the time.. this week.. to talk to your kids about being DRUG FREE. Take the Pledge HERE! Use this week’s dress-up as a Spring board.. to talk about it in your home too! Don’t leave it up to the teachers to do this! Let’s team up.. and inform our kids about the Dangerous effects of Drugs.
