Nothing new to report, just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! This is the biggest Holiday in the Chinese Culture. It started on Feb. 18th, and many traditional families will do the whole “15 day” celebration thing. This is were they celebrate for 15 days. It’s kind of funny how their rituals almost line up with ours that we do on New Year’s Day. On New Year’s Day here, most of us believe you need to eat mustard greens and black-eyed peas. I’ve always been told that you need to eat a lot of mustard greens because they represent how much money you would make the coming year, and the black-eyed peas represented pennies. Needless to say, as a child, we always ate our weight in mustard greens! 😉 However, in China…….mustard greens have a different meaning. Let’s just say that after the 14th day of celebrating & EATING alot of that yummy food…they say you should eat mustard greens to clean out your system !!!!! HAHAHAHA! ;0) Ya know, it’s really funny how we all believe different things….but I must agree with the Chinese culture….they do Clean ya system out!!!
Okay people for those of you who thinks that is “TMI”……YOU KNOW I’M RIGHT!!
LOVE TO ALL!
